About EastBaySports.Com
EastBaySports.Com began when Bob Kaehms decided to put some of his
daughters' soccer pictures online. The kids and parents liked it so much that he
decided to take some pictures of other local sporting events. The feedback was
great...
Bob is the former editor-in-chief of Web Techniques magazine, the leading
web development magazine for the internet community. He is a native of the
east bay, and still active in sports himself including masters swimming. His big
events of the year include the one hour postal swim, held in January, and the
Trans Tahoe relay, held in July.
Bob has recently taken a sabbatical from his full time position as Chief
Technology Officer at Media NetLink (http://www.mnl.com), to determine the
feasibility of turning EastBaySports.Com into a rich media community website
for the east bay. While he talks with the local business community and his
contacts within the broader internet community, he is sponsoring a
photo / journalism contest
with a sports theme within Alameda and Contra Costa
counties. The contest will run October 15th through December 15th, so stay
tuned!
We are now looking for writers and editors. If you like the community sports
scene and want to write about it, write us at info@eastbaysports.com
Thanks!
